What web hosting services does Flux offer agencies?
Flux offers three managed hosting tiers for the client sites we build, all white-label and all month-to-month. Hosting-only starts at $29 per month and keeps the site live on managed infrastructure with no content work included. Lite Care runs $97 per month and adds small content edits on top of hosting, which covers clients who send the occasional text change or new photo. Pro Care runs $297 per month and turns hosting into request-based work, so the client can ask for ongoing changes and you deliver them as your own team. You pick the tier per client and set the price they pay, so the spread between our fee and their fee is yours to keep.
Why should the team that built the site also host it?
Keeping the build and the hosting under one backend team removes the handoff gap where sites break and nobody owns the fix. When we code a client site and then host it, there is no finger-pointing between a builder and a separate hosting company. You send one brief, we ship the site, and the same team keeps it running on managed infrastructure. If something needs a change after launch, it goes to the people who wrote the code. That continuity is the whole reason our care plans exist: the build does not end at launch, and neither does our involvement, unless you want it to.
How do you turn hosting into recurring revenue under your brand?
Hosting turns into recurring revenue because you resell our care plans at your own price under your own name. We charge you a flat backend fee per client, from $29 to $297 a month depending on the tier, and you bill the client whatever you decide. The client logs in to nothing of ours and sees nothing of ours. They pay you, you pay us, and the margin sits with you every month. Because the plans are month-to-month with 30 days notice, you carry no long lock-in, and neither does your client. That keeps the relationship yours and the recurring line predictable.
How does the 50/50 build split lead into hosting?
Every build splits 50 percent on brief approval and 50 percent on staging approval before anything goes to production, and hosting picks up from that staging approval. You see the site on staging, you approve it, and only then does it move live onto managed infrastructure under whichever care tier you chose. Simple client sites ship in about a week and larger builds in 7 to 10 business days, so the move from paid build to paying hosting happens fast. There is no gap where the finished site sits homeless. Approval, production, and hosting flow in one line, and you decide the client price before the site ever goes live.
Which care plan fits which client type?
Match the care tier to how much the client will ask of you after launch. Hosting-only at $29 per month fits a set-and-forget client who wants the site live and rarely touches it, like a static brochure site for a local trade. Lite Care at $97 per month fits a client who sends small updates, a new team photo, a changed phone number, a seasonal banner. Pro Care at $297 per month fits an active client who treats the site as a working tool and expects ongoing request-based changes without a new quote each time. You can move a client up or down a tier as their needs change, since every plan is month-to-month.
What if you want to host the site somewhere else?
Flux hands off the finished build if you would rather host it yourself or with another provider. We host on managed infrastructure by default, but the site belongs to your client through you, and we keep nothing hostage. If you cancel a care plan with 30 days notice, or never take one at all, you leave with the build. There is no ransom on the code, the assets, or the domain. That means our hosting has to earn its place every month on service, not on lock-in, which is exactly how we want it to work.
